The PS.NET/Citizens Service Portal (CSP) is a “hosted” application that ties directly into the agency's existing web site, or can be accessed directly over the internet depending on the agnecy preference. This approach provides the agency with a fully integrated web capabailitiy from a single point, while the actual application runs primarily on secure and dedicated EIS servers. All pages in the presentation are automatically tailored with the descriptions, logo, disclaimers, and other information specified by the Agency during configuration.
Integration to Agency's Existing Web Site
Citizen access to the Portal appears as a basic component of the Agency's web site, with no advertising or promotional material presented. The overall architecture is shown in the following illustration.
Secure Data Management The Portal applications are built on MicroSoft Silverlight and utilize a secure data encryption algorithim to ensure all data transmitted can not be accessed. The information and capabilities provided through the portal are completely controlled by the agency, at no time will internal agency information be accessible to the public. Configuration parameters can be modified at any time by the agency using a simple management program. Changes take effect immediately.
